While working to target pain, anxiety, inflammation, and any other host of modern-day ailments with cannabis, it’s important to get to know HOW cannabis works to target these ailments, and why. And while a common thought is “weed” cures all- it’s really not quite that simple.

While cannabis alone has its clear advantages, it doesn’t directly make THC or CBD. What it does is synthesize cannabinoid acids, which must be decarboxylated (dried, heated/vaporized). While the most popular acids produced are THCA and CBDA, a number of other acids are also produced by cannabis, such as CBGA (Cannabigerolic acid).

Everyone knows THC is what gets you “high,” but CBD actually has a lot to do with how you get there. CBD influences the way that THC interacts with the CB1 receptors in your endocannabinoid system, meaning the CBD directly correlates with how the cannabis product will affect you. This same principle also applies to CBD and other cannabinoids.

Multi-Cannabinoid Blends for targeting specific needs and ailments

When used in conjunction with other powerful cannabinoids such as CBG, CBD proves beneficial in helping to fight common ailments such as pain and inflammation.  This combination offers a powerful combination with a much greater result.

CBN

CBN is a bit of a different animal than that of the aforementioned cannabinoids. Rather than traditionally synthesizing by cannabis, CBN is actually a product of the breakdown of THC. CBN proves a powerful cannabinoid in its ability to work as not only an anti-inflammatory and anti-seizure remedy, but also has a sedative effect. These properties make CBN an important component of some of our products targeting sleep.
